We are a group of Christians who believe that the Bible is the Word of God and follow it’s teaching, seeking to live as God intends.

In 1973, after over 100 years of work and witness in the town, we moved from our old church premises in Grafton Square to our present building in Reynard Way. Since then we have sought to serve the spiritual needs of the Obelisk Rise estate and the wider community of Northampton. Many of those who worship with us live on the estate or in the surrounding area.

We are an evangelical church. That means we base our belief and practice on the Bible. The word ‘evangel’, means ‘gospel’ – it is the message of ‘good news’.

This good news is the staggering truth that God so loved and cared for this world that he came to us in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ to bring salvation and eternal life.

The Bible tells us that “God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself” so that we can be restored to a living relationship with God and know his peace in our hearts and his presence with us day by day.

We find real purpose in life through knowing God, who gives us that purpose when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin. We receive eternal life, which is for this world as well as the world to come.

To be evangelical is to hold firm to the truth of this message from God, to want to explore its reality and fullness, and to want to share it - or rather to share Him - with others.
